When people try to pull you down,
Don’t lose your confidence.
When people try to break you,
Don’t lose your inner strength.
When people influence your decisions,
Don’t lose your mind.
When people break your trust,
Don’t lose trust on yourself.
When people find you strange and lunatic,
Don’t lose your uniqueness.
When people try being a hindrance in your way,
Don’t lose your temper.
Because ‘people’ don’t matter
It’s you and it’s your life.
People will try to stop you and strike a strife.
Rise above the hate
And you are sure to achieve what is written in your fate.
Today, it was my Mathematics exam in my school. I thought I was well prepared and would perform well (as i usually do) but then came the moment when i was sitting in the examination hall and the question papers were distributed. I read the paper once and i got very nervous. You guys won’t believe, I literally started sweating badly and I would faint. The question paper was rather tough. I am a girl who is academically very sound but this time I lost confidence in my self. Somehow I completed my examination and as i came out of the examination hall, I started crying. I am not a very emotional girl but I could not control myself.
You guys must be thinking that what is so great about about this incident. It happens with every student. But for me it was a completely new and challenging experience. when i came back home, I told my parents about it. Instead of scolding me for not studying well, they were unhappy that I could not face this challenge. It made me think and the philosophical part me was anxious to know that what is the ideal way to tackle such problems.
Everyone has problems in life, some are small like mine and some are big such as India’s poor economic growth. But they are a part of life and rather, life gets boring without problems. The important part is you should not get suppressed under this pressure. If the times are tough, you should prove them that you are even tougher and stronger to get through them with your head held high. My father has always been one of the main sources of inspiration. He always shares with me his incidents and experiences which help me learn and outgrow. I always advice my fellow teens to always consult a elder close to you for taking decisions. Their experiences always are helpful. It is not a problem if we take wrong decisions, we may fall but we should not lose hope and get up once again to face the challenge.
